Bookshop @ St Stephen’s
The Bookshop @ St. Stephen's--open year-round--offers a unique mix of fiction and non-fiction books to keep or to give, including books being used by groups in this parish, books for new or prospective Episcopalians, devotional books, theological classics, and current bestsellers. Books by such noted writers, thinker, poets and theologians as Diana Butler Bass, John Philip Newell, Richard Rohr, Brene Brown, Rachel Held Evans, Pico Iyer, Mary Oliver and Wendell Berry are on our shelves, as are Bibles, the Book of Common Prayer and books from Forward Movement. If our rector recommends a book in a sermon, Sunday Forum presentation, or blog post, you can be certain you'll find it in our bookshop. If a speaker is coming to St. Stephen's, his or her books will be available.
The bookshop has a lovely array of children's books.
In addition to books, there's an excellent selection of CDs (including the Compline CD, "Sanctuary," and the Virginia Girls Choir's "Unexpected Christmas"), Anglican prayer beads, Thistle Farms bath and body products, icons suitable for your home, prayer corner, or office. St. Stephen's Blend Coffee is available here.
The Bookshop @ St. Stephen's is the perfect place to find the perfect gift--for someone being baptized, confirmed, married, or ordained; for an anniversary or birthday; for a host or hostess; or for yourself.
Staff members in the office can help you with your purchases during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, but the shop is open anytime the church is open. A selection of items from the bookshop is also available in the Large Fellowship Hall on Sundays.
