Hurricane relief trips
St. Stephen's has been sending several teams to the Gulf Coast region each year since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. We continue to do send teams each year to work in New Orleans with the St. Bernard Project.
We are also involved in relief work on behalf of those affected by Hurricane Sandy. After Hurricane Sandy ripped through the northeast, a group of our young adults traveled to New Jersey to help with cleanup and other assistance for those affected. St. Stephen’s Hurricane Sandy relief continues with work in Crisfield, Maryland, a town largely overlooked during relief efforts, even though the community was particularly hard-hit.
