Bible study
St. Stephen's offers a number of opportunities for you to study the Bible with others or on your own. These include groups for which you are asked to sign up in advance, as well as those you can attend as your schedule permits. Visit this page to learn about the the Greek Bible Study and Emmaus Groups.
Thursday Bible Study | Thursdays at 10 a.m. | September 28-November 16
This fall the Thursday Bible study group will consider the Psalms. Rich texts that span the full range of human emotions, the Psalms offer opportunities to grow in faith. The group will meet in Room 14 and will be co-led by members of our clergy team, along with our director of music, Brent te Velde, who will offer a musical introduction to the Psalms. No registration is required.

RESOURCES FOR PERSONAL STUDY
Weekly Bible Study
You may study the Gospel for the upcoming Sunday by using the study guide written by our clergy. You can see the guide on the Weekly Bible Study page or you can sign up to receive it each week by email.
The Daily Office
Daily morning and evening prayers and scripture readings can be read by individuals on their own, or in a church with other worshippers. At St. Stephen's, we have Daily Morning Prayer at 8:10 a.m., Monday through Friday. Beginning in fall 2022, we plan to offer choral Evensong on one Wednesday each month (details TBA). If you would like to read the Daily Office on your own, you may find it in the Book of Common Prayer (the prayer book used by Episcopalians), or online.
Forward Day by Day
Daily reflections on the Scriptures can be found in a small paperback booklet called Forward Day by Day, available at church for $1 per copy. These reflections are also available online.
